a/c problem

ok back in the summer when i wanted to use my a/c it never worked but anyways if u waited awhile like a minute it started to make this loud noise u could hear it outside when it would run to. i looked under the hood and it looked like something was tryin to spin but it was havin trouble i dont know whta the hell is it i think it was the compressor or somethin i dont know but when u turn it off the a/c it makes no noise i would like to know what the heck would it be i asked ppl but they say diferent things or maybe i just need to recharge it i guess ??

If it is the pulley on the a/c compressor. When it is off it spins fine. When it is turned on it doen't move. The a/c clucth is messed up. You need a new compressor.
