Newbie saying hi..

Hello guys newbie on here saying hello.
I have a 93 trans am that I owned about 1 yr. all stock when I got it, but have put on a few bolt on's. heads and cam are next. would of been sooner, but I just picked up a 93 3000gt vr4. If it dosent perform like my LT1, then it is gone, and then will come the heads and cam, or a procharger..anyway just saying hello... :smile:

that vr4 is a fast little fucker, it is awd right? is so thoes launch like a bat out of hell. How manny miles are on the vr4?

Thanks guys. yes the vr4 is awd,aws and twin turbo. it has 130,000 on it. Im picking it up for 1100.00 but there is one problem, it runs great for about 20 min. then just dies. have to wait awhile and then same thing. The guy I bought it from only had it about 6 months. he is not very mech. inclined. but he said when he first picked it up he filled it up and it drove great the 2 hr. trip home, but after that it started doing this everytime. he has not filled it up again, it has been sitting in his garage alot. I believe it is something to do with the fuel pump maybe overheating and shutting off or something like that, hopefully an easy fix. I have not drove it yet, picking it up actually next week. he says it will throw you back in the seat and you can hear the turbos whine..besides that he says it runs perfect. It is black, but someidiot put the fast and furious body kit around it even the double decker wing.. :loser:

but it does have the chrome wheels and brand new 17" tires... I figured if I get it running good, and I don't like it, I can sell it to atleast get enough for a LE stage 3 head and cam package, or even a procharger for my ta...oh yeah the 3000 is a stick though... :iceslolan

l got on a mitsubishi 3000gt twin turbo. l drove it. l floored it. l mean l drove it in every type. it was a fast car and it was not as comfortable as f-body (i think). also l got 97 formula which is soppose to be slow than vr-4. but as soon as l test drove that car, l went to another delaer and drove the formula. l said a big WOOW!!!!! now l am having a lot of problems. u know why? because my formula was so fast and sounds were great and thats why l didnt even check the car (u guy can tell me dummy if u want ) and l got it right away. l felt it was faster than vr-4, (l am saying it is faster, l just felt that way) sound was much much better than vr-4 and comfortable than vr-4 and much much sexly looking than vr-4.

one of my wife's dealership owner has a mitsubiishi delaer. and even before l tried that mitsubishi, my wife called him on the phone and they talked about it. and that guy said, 3000gts are piiece of shiit. they are not relaible and they break down fast. they are not good quality cars. they are fast but you will be relative with the engine or other parts. l definetely not suggest u that car. eclipes are much much better than 3000gts about relailibity he said.

That all depends on the driver and how good they kept up with the car. A buddy of mine has a KIA and everyone kept telling him they were just throw away cars not reliable and dont last long. Well unlike all them he has had his car for over 2 yrs now and not one of them still have theirs.
