OK ive found another boost leak...but i have no idea where its coming from! there is a lot of air flow coming from under the throttle body...or it seems that way... as i pressure test it the air only leaks from somewhere under there...i replaced the gaskets and sealed them around the TB and that still did nothing. Does anyone know where its coming from or have an idea so i can check this out...my boost gauge hold at about 8 psi..this leak is killing me. Where could it be?? Thanks!

It could be the throttle plate shaft seal there is a how to on vfaq.com. Hopefully thats it, if they have never been replaced then thats probably it.

Check to make sure you have a good seal on the i/c piping?

ok i tested the thing all day today at work...the vfaq said to leak test it and have bud press the gas to see if the air would come out in a different place or sound a lil different...i did this and it did nothing...there was no change with throttle or without...so im thinking its not the plate shaft seals...could it still do this if the 0-rings are bad??
this is killing my feeling all the air leak and i cannot find the damn leak!

I guess it could still be the o-rings. How bad of a leak it it? Cause I don't think they generally leak all that bad. It could be your egr valve seal. When I blocked mine the first time it caused a boost leak.

i mean its not the worst leak ever...but its a pretty good size leak...theres quite a bit of air flowing out somewhere...i can def. tell while driving...what do you mean u blocked it. what did u block??

It could be a number of things, but the first thing that comes to mind in that area that makes a leak big enough to feel easily is the TB elbow. Not sure which one you are using or if it is stock, but most of the aftermarket ones are warped. No amount of sealant can fix them. I fought this for over a year until I got off my ass and took it to my machinist to get it planed.

i dont have an elbow...i have all hard IC pipes upper and lower...its not leaking from the ic pipe...im sure of that...it seems like its coming from under the throttle body somewhere but i cannot tell where...

Intake manifold?

Intake manifold?
Yeah, there's a metal gasket between the tb and the manifold. If you reused it after taking the tb off or put in on backwards mabe that could cause it? But you said you replaced the gaskets.

"Elbow" is just terminology. Where the hard pipe mates to the TB could also be warped. I've had pipes like this. I really wish people could look for the essence of my posts and apply the theory, not just compute the exct words. It would make a lot less work for me over the years :)

Get a flashlight and a mirror, and start spraying some soapy water in there while you test. I've never met a leak I couldn't find in the last 5 years.

There's a link to some awesome TB shaft seals....
Otherwise I have heard of the bottom side of the int. manifold having leaks where there is a bolt that goes into it and has been known to leak... bitch to get to but just something to look into....
Soapy water is one of the greatest tricks.....it's application is used for soooooo many things!!!
