Door handle rear hatch problem

I have a 98 blazer that started poping the rear hatch whenever you lift any of the door handles evan if the doors are locked.
also sometimes the button on the hatch dosent work either
no noise or any thing does anybody have any ideas. the only thing i can see in the wiring diaghram that ties those two things together is the interior lighting module does any one know where that is located
