exhaust size

just a quick question....what size exhaust input and output tubes do i need for a v6 mustang? im lookin at gettin a flowmaster 40 series muffler...and i was wondering what size i need to get...thanks for the help

there isnt any specific size you need, just a range...you can get a custom or just buy a catback from a website, or buy the stock exhaust of a guy that has a GT and replaced his.

im not lookin to get an entire new system tho...i just want the muffler...i dont wanna do much...so what would u suggest i do?...isnt there a size that i need to get to fit onto the stock pipes that are already there?

if your lookin for a quick cheep way to just make it a bit louder, buy some flowmaster mufflers{i dont no if you have one or two} and have a muffler shop weld em in for you. wont be much

yea thats what im lookin to do...i dont want it much louder or anything...i have a v6 single exhaust so how much do u think that would be and what size muffler do i need? im lookin at a flowmaster 40 series

oh,its probably like a 2 or 2.25in...it doesn ahve to be an exhast match. my stock muffler is 2in and my stock exhaust is 1 7/8in...and i know people w/ 2.5in and the stock muffler.

so like the input size on the muffler and the size of the tubes goin into it dont have to b the same?...how would they weld that in? do u kno if theres a normal stock size for a 2000 v6?
