It's a Ford...(j/k) That sucks for the owner. I was in class, so I didn't listen to audio. Was it stock? Why did it blow?

Its not at all stock. It was a 99 so it was made NA. The guy was running a supercharger on it with enough boost to push it to 600HP. He blew a connecting rod right out of the side of the block in a race with a Z06.

600 is almost double what it was originally intended to push. Not too many N/A cars will handle enough boost to add 300HP on a stock motor. Its not that surprising to me.

That's an old vid. I believe that happened over a year ago.
LOL, the funniest thing is that I got to see a 4.6 liter motor getting taken out of a stang for I believe the same reason (Dude had a 99+ Saleen S281 w/ 530whp). None of the mechanics can understand how Ford could build a big block/small block. Anyone seen how large the connecting rods are on those cars, or seen how much bigger the engine is over a 350 block???? The heads alone are huge. Not exactly one of ford's greatest accomplishments. They should've definitely toned down the size. I helped the mechanic lift an engine out of one, and FUCK man, that sucker is heavy.
Not bagging on Ford group, just the engineers.

It certainly is a large motor, I will give it that much. The size didn't quite become worth it until 03 either.
