Hello,
We have a 1991 Cav that runs great. The past couple of days, after driving for about 20 minutes the Check Gages Light comes on when the RPMs drop to idle. If the RPM's increase, the light goes out? We have had the alternator replace last year.
Any thoughts?

Any gauges in it. Had a 91 Sunbird ,the oil pressure gauge would go to zero and check light would come on ,had the sensor replaced under warranty it was good for a few years then it started again, I just drove it and listened closely when check gauges light came on and oil pressure went to zero .........LOL didn`t blow anything up.

Check your other post concerning the low oil pressure. Your check engine light is probably caused by your low oil pressure. Don't screw around with low pressure, it just takes minutes to do lots of damage to you lower engine because of low or no pressure.

Did you mean the check "gauges" light could indicate low oil pressure?
