Help with ideas for class presentation.

I feel like I am in 2nd grade again. In my communications class we have to give a 3-5 minute presentation that is basically show and tell. We have to show the class how to do something, we have to bring something in and use it in our presentation so building up a head in the middle of class would be out of the question. I just cant thing of anything good to do, yall are creative gimme something good.

yeah i get that feeling a lot too. im a senior in high school and in noe of my classes we're still doing coloring projects. maybe you could do something with cars that you're particularily good at. best of luck with it, let us know how it goes

:grinno: maybe i'll try that if i take communications. show them how to kick somebody's ass then get somebody you hate as an assistant for the demonstration.

Go all out and bring in a rotary engine, showing them how to do a monster bridgeport.

You need to show them something that most people wouldn't know how to do, because that's a better test of your communication skills. Show them how to do a card trick. First just perform the trick. When done properly a good trick will always wow the audience. Then explain how it's done as you show the details of the moves. 3-5 minutes would be about perfect for this.

(EDIT: End the presentation with an unexpected twist on the trick that they won't be able to figure out, and don't explain it)

Yeah I would just show how an engine fires up and what not.. all you would need really is just some drawings..

yup, and i might do a little thing on variable valve timing too. but it'd hard enough with all the measurements to make my drawing perfect as it is.

yea, i use one of them too. but for shading and doing rough lines a "conventional" pencil does the job nicely. besides im not bothered to go buy 2B mechanical pencil lead.

The problem with doing car things is that we have to bring in the actual part, cant use drawings or anything. Like some girl is doing how to make some kind of dip....and she actually has to make the dip in class. I may take that beat someones ass idea and just change it around to some basic self defense.... or I could just show the class how to do chuck norris's famous roundhouse kick, although that would make the entire class extremely lethal killing mahcines.

i don't recommend doing food things. i had the same assignment and i tried to show my class how to make a fruit and yogurt parfait. it turned out to be this horrible, nasty looking, yogurty mess because i had to hurry to get it done under the time limit. i say go with the show how to get a boner, especially if ur well-endowed :naughty:

explain how to program a vcr, i dont know anyone who can program a vcr...
