Alright guys and girls ..im gonna have to get a new car soon cause mines being shitty but im trying to hold out until an affordable SI comes along..but if i have to get a DX =( and i do the SI HEAD SWAP so i can have the MPFI instead of DPFI....besides the intake ..what other parts for an si motor such as aftermarket could be used ? i know that might sound like a dumb question but at times when i read product applications it says for SI or EX only thats it. thanks!

find a theft recovery with no engine and drop a DOHC ZC into it

zc's are the same as your Si motors just more bang for the buck.

The main differences between the Si and DX engines are the whole pistion, rod, and crank assembly (duh). The intake manifolds (DPFI vs. MPFI). And both engines have the same tranny just the Si had a shorter final drive thus making it the sportier tranny. And the ECU's are different.

Things you can bolt onto a DX made for the Si, most everything if you know what your doing. I've seen the stock Si cam put into DX's for cheap power ups. You can add MPFI & Si ECU, Si tranny, heck 1.6 motors are cheap as hell in yards...for the price of a exhaust you could easily buy a whole Si motor with the trimmings (tranny, ECU, etc).

But if your hell bend on stickin with the 1.5, Si headers will fit, wires, I think pullies, cam gears, lotsa stuff. Like is said for the money you spend on parts you could shove the Si long block in their for WAY cheaper and make much better power.

Alright thanks for the info...im not hell bent on stickin with the 1.5 LOL ide love to get a 1.6 or a b series motor problem is besides the money factors ..i have no drive way or garage so swaps are out of the question i can only do head work and work that doesnt require the engine to be pulled :(

You live in a apartment? So do I, and I did a swap in my parking stall. Just get it in and out in one day, then worry about wiring it all up the next.

i live in a apartment but not a complex and the parking is all on a main street..so there is no "parking stall" its more like first come first serve

Do it in the street. Be a "G".
When a friend and I were wiring up my 12" we ended up doing it in the radio shack parking lot
