Ok, firstly, I know this is more of a forum for GP issues, or discussions, but, some of the guys/gals here are the more than knowledgeable about seemingly everything, so, before i go elseware, i will give AF a shot...
I am thinking of putting a system in my car, and am shooting for about 600 watts...which is not TOO overkill...
My GP has the 6 stock speakers, and I am thinking of adding 4 more, plus two subs. My idea was to simply keep the stock ones, then add the extra 6, based on two 300watt amps, each one powering a set of 6 speakers....
However, I don't know how much wattage the stock speakers can handle... while I'd rather not buy all new speakers, I'd perfer not to blow up the ones i have.
I would really appreciate any information, or, if anyone can tell me about their systems, I'm really looking for ideas now.
Thanks alot everybody

The stock speakers are rated way under what you are looking for. I would get some Infinity Reference series (6X9 for the rear deck, 5 1/4" round for the doors) that fit the stock holes. With 2 subs in the trunk, I think the extra speakers will be unnecessary, and not worth the labor to put in. If the above combination isn't loud enough, you either need a hearing aid, or will need one shortly.
