Digital Dash Question

I was test driving an 85 vette that I am considering buying earlier today, and noticed a weird problem with the digital dash. I used to have an 84 that would sort of go from dim to bright, and the right side did not light up at all. However, this was nothing like that. At first, it was working perfectly fine, lit up brightly on all sides, and seemed in good working order. But then I hit the gas hard on a turn and almost spun out, and something weird happened. The entire cluster lit up fully, almost like it was resetting or something. It stayed fully lit for a few seconds and then went back to normal. It seems like a loose connection or something, like it turned off for a second and then on again. I just want to know if it will be a hard thing to fix, since the car already has several other problems.

Chances are that since you took a turn, light (Or sunlight) was hitting the light sensor in the dash that automatically adjusts the brightness of the dash, This would make it go to it's brightest quickly and then slowly dim back down again.
This is normal.
This is normal.
