So I drive a stick shift and I am wanting to get remote start for it. From what I have been reading it's only good if a have a automatic transmission in order for it to be a success. What do you guys think?

You can do it with a manual transmission but you would need to have lockout limit switches for the gearshift(neutral start only) and the parking brake(must be set). These should be included with the kit you buy.

In a word, yes. I don't understand why people don't leave their manual cars in gear when they stop. You're asking tiny little brake shoes to hold your car, and they're connected by a very stretchy cable. Not getting in the habit of keeping your car in gear can be just as bad as putting a remote start on it... ask me how I know.
