I just bought a 93 2door 2wd 4cylinder, has 230,000 miles (yikes) paid $850, runs real good so far and is really nice to look at. BUT,, i noticed 3 of those square fuses that go under the hood in the black box are missing, looks like they just been removed cause its clean where they were and dusty all around there. everything seems to work except the horn, i wonder if i need to replace these, whatever they were for? ya im going to buy a manual soon.
And i want to change out the manual tranny for a automatic, has anyone done this before? is it worth the trouble...
Thanks

There should be a diagram on the inside of the distribution center's lid (underhood black box) which shows what each of the items located in it are for.
Why do you want to swap the stick for an automatic? Seems like a big hassle and expense.
