Hello all,

I just replaced the intake manifold gaskets to cure the disappearing manifold problem. the heater hose that snaps into the front right of the intake manifold (by the alternator, or #2 cylinder) has a small leak. anyone have any idea on how to seal it up w/o clogging it up or using excessive ammounts of sealant, etc... thanks.

Well I got good news and bad news... Good news is the coupling is a $12 part from the dealer. The bad news is when you try to remove the old one from the intake it will snap off!!!
When I did mine I had just put the intake on and decided to change it... needless to say I had to remove the intake and I was able to chisle out the threaded portion of the coupling. It is crapy pot metal and very brittle.
I am not sure how to remove it if the intake is on the truck...

Mine broke also when removing. Search the forum
on the subject and you'll see a few different
techniques for getting out the old material.
The replacement should be stainless and you
should use sensor safe sealant
