I wouldn't worry about it. It is just a high priced luxury family sedan. I raced an '05 Acura RL thats why I showed interest in this thread. My GTP is not stock but it was no contest. It wasn't worth the effort or time. The driver was so embarrassed that he would not look at me when I let him catch up and chickened out on the second stoplight. Checkout Drag Times:

Supposedly there is an optional Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive (SH-AWD) on the Acura RL which apportions added thrust to the rear wheels as road conditions dictate, but it also sends extra power to the outside rear wheel during fast cornering to counter the understeer in nose-heavy all-wheel-drive vehicles and so forth. Pulls .87 gs on a skidpad.

WAIT A MINUTE!!! That overpriced Honda has 300hp/260tq??!!! And it ONLY does 15.00 in the 1/4??!!! How much does that thing weigh? What is the gearing like in the trans.? It's probably geared for MPG and smooth shifting for Granny.

I raced a guy in a 90(?)Mustang GT the other day in my 97 Taurus 24V DOHC Duretec (200hp/200tq) and beat him by a fender. It was auto and did have alot of miles on it (150,000). But still I beat him. Mine has 93,000 miles and it's newer, and FWD and I don't think the punk kid knew how to drive, but still a win, so I'll take it. The drag times thing says I should run 16.1. I don't know if that's the base engine or the DOHC. I'm guessing the base if I was able to beat a 5.0. They're around 14.8-15.1 stock.

Yeah, but those things are so light, they're like a rollerskate on wheels...no wait...they're like a giant rollerskate! He probably only had 200-250hp but with it only weighing 1600 pounds (just guessing) it doesn't take much. Besides which sounds better "I drive a TRANS AM" or "I drive a...a....a Honda"?
