Hi to all in the Japanese modeling community. I have good news and bad news. I found another online hobby shop, but it's solely in Japanese.

It's www.ms-plus.com

I'm not sure if anyone here speaks Japanese, but I tried purchasing several items, but don't have a CLUE on how to do so because like I said, it's all in japanese, very little English, if any. The good news is this new site, which has SEVERAL kits that hlj.com and 1999.co.jp don't have or even stock for that matter. Bad news is, like I said, no English.

For those of you who speak Japanese, will you go to the site and get back to me on how to order? Thanks so much.

What I like about hlj.com is that it's strictly in English, but I found another site.

www.hobby-planet.com

It's solely in Japanese, nobody speaks English on that site. Would those of you who speak Japanese help me in the Orders process, or help me translate? I tried online translators, but they don't help much.

I can show you how to order on MS-PLUS.com, but you have to live in Japan to order.

Oh, that's too bad. That I don't speak japanese. Anyway, how's about www.hobby-planet.com ? Too bad you have to live in Japan. Would you do me a favor and email them, asking how they do orders outside of Japan?

IS there a reason why you have to live in Japan to order?

Hobby Planet as well seems to only ship domestically in Japan, unfortunately. Is there something you are looking for in particular?

Actually yes. The Fujimi 1/24 High Mechanism series. Particularly the Crown 3.0 TwinCam 24. I've been looking for this kit literally for YEARS. I already have the Chaser and Cresta kits from them which I got on hlj.com, but this is one kit I've wanted for years.

Anyway, I found another site, called www.valuetoys.net

I'd hate to once again be the bringer of bad news, but all three sites you have listed only ship domestically.

Do you know if there are ways around it? Like, do you know anyone who would help in something like this?

Here's the High Mechanism Supra on Ebay, what other cars are in the series?

There's the Soarer 2.8 and the 3.0; The Chaser and Cresta, and the Celica 2.8XX (But I already have all of them). I need to get the Crown kit. Forget ebay because I've tried for a while, they just don't have it.

Well, you're only way is to build a trusting relationship with a friend in Japan who can get you the kit and you can pay them for it. However, a company who only sends domestically in Japan isn't going to make any exceptions.

I even suspect fujimimokei.com only ships domestically as well.

One other question. Other than hlj.com, 1999.co.jp, and rainbowten.co.jp, do you know of any other hobby stores that sell and ship internationally?

I have relatives in Osaka, but I can't ask them to do it because they don't speak English.

Wait a minute. I'm sure I can have the kits shipped to a consignment company in Japan, and in turn THEY can ship it to me, like a broker or something. Do you know of any such companies (anywhere in Japan)?

There are mail box services like that, and I did my research in person in Tokyo. But they are mostly for business purposes, and requires a setup fee (like $10), monthly rental fee (again about $10 /mo), in addition to a redirect fee (about $4).

In order to buy goods from Japanese stores, you'll communication skill, domestic address and reliable payment method, and you don't seem to have any of them, so your chance is probably eBay or Fujimi to reissue the kit. I got the Supra 3.0 a few years ago, and I was overjoyed to get such a hard to find kit, and it was reissued last year. (bummer!)

Alternatively, you can use auction proxy like this one https://rinkya.com/ and ask to bid on stuff like this...

I searched, but couldn't find any high-mecha Crown by itself. You may not like the fee you have to pay in addition to the kit price, though.

I can get the Supra 3.0 very easily here in the US. That is always readily available, so tell you what. If you'd like another one, I'll send you one or two if you can help me get the Crown 3.0 (two of them), and I'll pay for it. I can pay thru paypal.

Also, I don't care about the fees. If it's the whole series, even better.

I think I'll just stick with hlj.com mostly because I get 99 percent of my kits from there. Every once in a while I'll want to get a kit not on there (like Fujimi Crown Hi Mecha), but I've had pretty good luck with them. Very professional, and in perfect English.
