head lights problem

I have a 93 Ford Probe. My headlights stopped working. I hear a clicking noise from the relay when I turn lights on. I replaced the relay and lights without luck. When I remove the lights the clicking noise stops and the voltages are correct but when I plug the light no 12 volts comes to the light any more.
Any idea?
thanks

Take a meter and check the voltage at the head light plug, then at the relay and you may find where the voltage stops. I believe the relay is only for the headlight doors (hideaways). Problem is most likely with the switch. When you have the lights on, wiggle the switch to see if the lights blink. Remove the steering column plastic, take the wires off the switch and play with them there. Good Luck!
