Well I am just sick of replacing the day time running lights (DTRL) in my truck every other month. What can I do besides remove them to make them last longer. Any mods that people have found to work?? I hear the problem results from the use of a marker(blinker) bulb for a full time light that wears them out very fast.
Sorry if this is a repeat I could not find this topic via search everythou I know we all are aware and affected by this problem. See yah on the streets fellow popeyes.

Wow, I wonder if I have special lights in mine. I've had my truck for over a year and half now and the DRL's are still the same ones.
I have heard that guys put LEDs in they last longer.

Both DRL bulbs were replaced by the dealer that i bought the truck from 2.5 years ago and i just had to replace one the other day. I was actually surprised at how easy of a job it was , i was expecting to tear half the front off to get at the bulb.
