lol. I know that was sarcasm, but after I saw those CF wheels I started thinking about it. Is it even possible for CF to take that much stress and weight? I get this mental of the wheels just collapsing and all hell breaking loose.

I think they just coat the actual rim in cf rather than painting them or what not

nah the real CF wheels are actual cf. about 1k apiece. made from one strand of cf for the whole barrel of the wheel. the spokes are magnesium. the put them through much more testing then the average alloy wheel and they all came out fine.
the 20x10 wheels weigh like 5 lbs :D

Thats just crazieness. I guess you can have the bling factor of rolling on 20's and only have the weight of 15s

Wow, interesting. The ones I saw were on ebay and I was just thinking to myself, as cool as it'd be it almost seems to good to be true.

Carbon fiber is cool and all, but isn't it going too far? I mean, a carbon fiber glovebox?... Yeah... lol

It would have saved weight IF it was made of cf not just added on top of the box.

Even if it would have been real CF, it would have only saved like maybe 1/4 of a pound... lol
