Ok so i finally decided to buy some subs for my jeep. Now i have to find an amp. i have 2 xplod sony subs 12". anyways the specs for the sub is 1200W peak and 380W rms and they are single coil 4 ohm. Now i was looking at the xplod sony amp that is 1200W peak and 200W rms 2 x 4 ohms or 250 rms 2 x 2ohms. tell me if this amp sounds good for my 2 subs or give me suggestions.

It all depends on first how much room you have to work with and how much money you are willing to put into a system. I used to have 2 12" sony xplod's in a 99 s10 extended cab when I had those I had them powered by a PPI amp. Didn't like the sound that they put out and the voice coils blew very quickly. If you're intent on sticking with the subs you have then I would suggest a Kenwood amp for them. If you go to crutchfield.com and go to the car amps page they have one that would work very well for those two subs for $300 it's the Kenwood KAC-9102D it's a mono channel amp that you could hook both subs to just wire them in parallel. But make very sure that you get at least a 1 farad lightning cap otherwise you'll put a very big strain on your alternator and batt. and will be having your lights flicker everytime the bass hits hard. If on the other hand you want something that will put out some major bass and have the money for a very nice system then hit me up through email and i'll be happy to help you as I run my own car stereo and customization business out of my house.
