Door Ajar Problem

I have a problem with my dome light and door ajar light. The door ajar light stays on constantly and as a result the dome light stays on for a long time after i exit the truck. I did some reading and tried the wd40 thing with all the doors and i did the "listen for the bong" thing when opening all the doors. Well all the doors make the "bong" sound except the rear driver and passenger side doors. The dome light doesn't even come on when these doors are open. Does this sound like a door sensor problem on both doors? ..or does it sound like the doors wiring has been cut? It's too chilly for me to take off the door panels right now but I would like to hear what you guys think.

A broken wire inside the boot is a possibilty. I don't know if that would keep the dome lite on for sure but it is an open circuit.
