Okay here's the deal. 200 Jeep Wrangler Sport. Left my lights on for a good 5 hours. Tried to jump it. WON'T START!!! Can give gas while cranking, engine will rev but will not actually "turn over" It seems like the battery is holding power (except when I keep trying it!) Now, how do I know if it's my alternator or starter. I had it towed for free to my house. So what are my options that do not include towing it somewhere???

Usually when you jump start after leaving your lights on and no previous problems, the battery posts are not making good contact with wire to ground and or positive side. Pull them off, clean very well and apply some petroleum jelly to both sides, in fact you can smoother them... This will also cause you alternator not to charge the battery... let's start with this, should correct your problem but if not we'll go further.

A day or so?!?! That's almost 2 weeks after his last post!!!! Its only polite to respond back to replies. I have got replies to my problems on here and I at least thank the person for sending something, if not update them on my problem, within the week!
