Well guys, I am having an anxiety attack right now, I have to be up for work in 5 hours but I am way to wound up to sleep so I figured I would ask this question while I remembered. So Mikes POS is broken and we are in the process of getting a shop (rental storage unit) to work on it in. We are just going to rebuild the engine, get it DSM linked, and make it run right. When we bought it, the car had the A/C removed already. It sucks in the summer but oh well. Well, with his engine coming out, we are going to do a rebuild and some other miscellaneous engine work, including removing power steering, balance shaft eliminator, and new timing belt and stuff. My question is on the power steering. How would one go about removing it? Will we need any new parts? Thanks guys I appreciate it. I am going to go try to get some sleep, I have to be at butt fucking McDonalds for like 13 hours tomorrow. Take it easy guys.

I think it'd be as easy as just removing the belt, pullies, pump and hoses. I don't have my belt on but still have all the misc. stuff there just incase.
Somone else more knowledgeable will know.

Do you mean to say you want to convert to manual steering? I hope that is what you mean. You need to find a manual steeriing rack that will fit. I was thinking about doing it to mine.

lol, I hope like hell if he is planing of an engine rebuild, that he can take the power steering off the car without help. ;)
