Heater Core

I have a 95 ford escort. I am having problems taking the casing that holds the heater core out. I have unattached the 3 mounting nuts but it does not want to come loose. It feels like I have to move it up and pull forewards but I can not seem to do that. It feels like something is still blocking it and holding it in place. Any tips? Or anything at all.

It is not posible to remove the core without removing the entire dashboard. Not as hard as it sounds, I've done it 3 times. Be carefull, there are some screws that are hidden, and on '95s you have the air bags that have to be deactivated.
