1948 Cj2a compression

Just grabbed a barn fresh Jeep out of storage. We got spark and fuel. after some tune up and carb work. Compression was 35 lbs and after soaking rings overnight we got it to 70 psi. What should it be over 100?

Pulled head off today. Broken rings.

Anyone Have the torque specs for this L head engine> I need head bolt torque and rod bearing torque.
