fuse box

ok 1986 caprice 305 4bbl 5.0 vin H

I was just installing a electic trunk popper and i just happend to ground one of the wires coming from the fuse box and now nothing works. The wire was going 2 one of the 12v accesory slots so theres no fuse there to replace. What happend?

There is a fuse somewhere. There always is. If you can, trace the wire a;; the way to the battery. Odds are theres an in line fuse, or a fusable link somweher along the way. Hanes Automotive Repair books have wiring diagrams and schematics that would probably be useful.

yea i found it yesterday. just got kinda lazy and was sittin at the comp so i figured id give u guys a go. but yea thats what it was just a 20amp fuse, replaced it and all was good and got my electric trunk release installed and working 2. thanks.
