light dont work

the left side flip up light wont go up in my 99 trans am. The driver side does no problem but the passenger side wont. It goes up sometimes then wont pop up. Any1 know wut i can do and how much itll cost to fix. I no its not the motor, my dad said the hood needs to be aligned like a billionth of an inch.

If it isn't the motor, it is the motor gear.
