Help my driver side brake light is out but the other brake lights work. The blinkers and hazard lights work on both sides and tail lights work fine. I had the truck in the shop for something else and the brake light worked that day. It seems to be intermittant. I know the 2000's were recalled for a bad switch but the 99's were not. Could I be dealing with the same problem? Anyone else ever have this problem?

I believe on 99 the turn signal and stop lamp use two separate bulbs. Have you tried replacing the stop lamp bulb?

Hey Old Master: Ive got to bump this thread because I have the exact same problem on my 99 jimmy. I'll add that we have the "clicking" behind the glove box also. Seems like the turn signal relay.
In another thread, the "clicking", someone stated that it could be the multifunction switch (signals, hazard, cruise etc.) or dirty contacts.
Just the passenger side brake works. Drivers side brakes do NOT. bulbs good, drivers turn signal works flawless, just no brakes.
p.s. I have read a couple places online that the multifunction switch could be related to the single side brake light problem.
Side note: Key does not return to the "off" position (have to use a screwdriver thru the little access hole in bottom of column). ABS light intermitently on and brakes "pulse" when the light comes on (saving the post on this til we get the brake lights fixed).

There is a thread in the Blazer "How-To" section that explains how to clean the contacts on the multifunction switch. There's also one on how to clean the contacts in the 4 way switch too. Good chance one of those is causing the problem. Let me know what you find.
