Motor Swap

I recently blew a hole in 3.1L V6 motor that had 75,xxx miles. While taking the radiator off, it leaked RED fluid out of one of the bottom hose connections. I didn't trace the line back to anything, could it have been for the radiator? How hard is it to unbolt the motor from the transmission? Can I just undo the nuts on the bellhousing and separate it or do I have to unbolt the flywheel from the torque converter? It is a 1998 Chevy Malibu LS 3.1L V6 Auto. with 75,xxx miles on the motor.

The red fluid was transmission fluid. The raditaor also has a few lines going through it as a trans cooler.
