ITs a miracle!!

I had a sound (knocking ) for the last year or so. I was told by my former mechanic it was piston slap from the #4 cylinder. since then I had it in the back of my mind that the car was a ticking timebomb. \\\

today I went to get the tensioner replaced because of a "screaching sound from the depths of hell" and once it got replaced the screaching went away and the knocking sound did as well. I don't know why or how but I thank God because I thought My 2001 GA wasnt worth 2 pennies.

The service for the tensioner and labor costed $220.00 yeah I know that may be a lot here in Cali but hey atleast the knocking sound is gone and my confidence is back with my car and she runs great!

I guess the tensioner will make noise when its bad, knocks back and forth. Glad you didnt junk it? Ga's can push your patients gebster76 .

yea man, I remember when part of the brake lost a nut and the inside caliper or w/e was knocking up against my inner rim? .. sidewalks -_- BAD
Forgot how low the front sits and bumped up onto a concrete slab at my mother's work... wasnt to happy about that .. later found that I even knocked 1 fog light out of place and it burnt a hole thru some plastic and was hanging out of the front of my GA lolol
