No backup lights

2000 Cav. 5 spd. both backup lights are out. Lamps are good. Fuse is good. No voltage to lamps when I shift to reverse. Anyone know where the reverse shift/backup light/switch is located?

make sure the wire is good as well.

I have the same problem. I checked the backup lite switch which is located on the bottom left side of the transmission.You must remove the front left wheel to get at it. I put an ohm meter on it and it checked OK. I checked the wiring back to to the backup lites for continuity and again everything OK. Still no lites. If you come up with a solution let me know.

After a lot of troubleshooting, checking wiring, backup lite switch( thanks for the location info), lamps ect. my problem came down to the connectors that plug in to the lamp sockets for the backup lights. Both sockets had intermitent connections. I finally adjusted (bent) the pins in the socket to allow for a more positive contact. That solved my problem.
