Well, taking out the AC will probably free up about 12-15 LBS. As for the back seat, you got me on that one. But, what kind of civic do you have? Is it the stock motor? I would say leave the seat in, because with a stock motor, not much will happen. As for the body kit, do what you want, it is your car. Myself, I would think it would look a little funny, with a crazy kit, and some nice wheel gap. But thats just me. Then, why get a kit, if your not going to paint it? Sounds a little like you want to cut corners? If you cant afford to paint it, then I say save a little longer to get it sprayed.

stock motor.......95' dx civic 2dr..........i heard......taking out the a/c gives you 5-10 hp......so yea....and i was planning to leave my car either 2-tone.....b/c my bro said i can't get it painted......he said its a waste of money....but the good news is that......my car is WHITE......so if i get a kit......i could either leave the kit the color it is.....or paint it WHITE then put it on......right?.......or would i have to repaint the car b/c of the bondo....or whatever........i'm not sure......if you're suppose to paint the car if you get a kit........and really.....would it look ugly if it showed the gaps between the wheel.....hmmmm i know it does myself........but.....i don't know.......what other ways could i do......if i don't lower my car?........hmmmmm try and answer my problems......thanks

Ok, let me see. Here is my opinion only, and I am sure others will post also. First, removing your seat on a DX, would be a bigger hassle, and waste than a benefit. Removing the AC does not give horse power, it lightens the load. It may free up maybe 1-2 horsepower, because you no longer have the compressor wheel to go over. As for a body kit, if you dont want to lower it, maybe get one that is not so flashy as a Buddy Club, or Black Widow, they would look better lowered, even if just a little. For the painting issue. If you have a white car, you could get a fiberglass kit (which is white) and probably be OK for awhile, but would still look bad in the long run. With my kits, I always just got the kit ainted, unless the car needed to be painted as well. So, all in all, a kit and paint will maybe run about $800-$1000 Some companies, even sell the kits pre-painted, like wings west.
