Hi guys IM BACK!!!

this time not with a hatch, im on the lookout for a EF 4 door, , the one i want is a UK spec D14A1, 1.4 on twin carbs, then i am looking to either fit GSXR carbs onto it and NOS, or fit a D16A9 (ZC)

i have done the JDM thing with My VT and had my fun with that, now i want something with the track, its being stripped out,, slammed to the floor,

i cant wait to get back in the 4th gen scene,

i went through EVERY make and model on the Autotrader and the only thing i REALLY wanted was another 4th gen so here i am

on the lookout as we speak, fingers crossed i will have one within two weeks!

Welcome back. What was it you replaced your 4th gen with? A saab? Anyway, you'll probably miss the B16 action you once had in the VTi though...

Welcome back! I didnt even know you got rid of the hatch (Ive been off the forums more than on lately since i dont have a 4th gen anymore either) So you want a 4door thats going to be strictly for the track? Do you want to keep it d-series? You wont be getting much for high numbers out of an all motor d14. You could maybe stroke a ZC with high comp pistons and an LS valvetrain, that would be respectable. But seriously, go B if its going to be a track car. Whatever you do, keep up the good work that you were always putting into your last hatch. but most important... keep us posted!!

any other time i would have posted some sarcastic reply....

however, it's good to see you man! this place just isn't the same since people started leaving.

i picked up an '01 ITR, '96 RHD ITR, and just yesterday a 99 GSR...for the first time ever i own more DC2's than 4G's :screwy:

thanks very much for the replies guys

yes i sold my Civic to get a saab, i have now sold the Saab and was planning on getting a Galant VR4 , i can afford the car and insurance however the car done less than 20MPG on a RUN and i cant afford it, so it has to be another 4th gen , i just love them!!

well im on the hunt today and tomorrow for one, cant wait!!

Ami, sounds like you seem to have a little Teg breeding ground going on there hope your pleased!! i was looking at ITR's but they are sadly out of my budget :(

i will be keeping to a D series because i can get a complete ZC with loom and box from a junkyard for about $300 or i can buy a complete rover 216 Gti for anything over £200 ($400) so i may end up doing that and just swapping the IM for a honda one as they are better

anyways , if people could post up their favourite 4g4d then i can have something to aim for with the style, im thinking a superior blue saloon, with black rims, and absolutely slammed!!

practicality is low on my lists now, we have the jordan for that hahaha

thanks again guys, its good to be back

Nice project :0)
I also own a 4 door now as a daily beater I must say that it handless(on the road) a lot worse than HBs do..at least that is my feelings...but will lower it and put new shock absorbers and then I'll se it's true potential...

ah right, can anyone else inform me what the handling is like on a 4door which is lowered ??

i dont want to buy it as a track car if it handles like a dog lol

sounds good jim, i love the champagne one too

mine handles well, like it feels tight, i can take sharp turns well, and as with any car, good tires are a must, but im just running some all seasons and it still handles fine

thanks mate, i will give it a push on the test drive when i try one and i see what i think, then i will sort out the suspension and brace everything up then do the engine swap

by the way do the rear upper/lower braces for a hatch fit on a saloon??

1PhatCX

the upper does, and i'm pretty sure the lower does too, i dont have a lower yet but there all adjustable so i imagine it does

Mine is handling a lots worse but like I said it's totally stock and shock absorbers are out...and HB is totally lowered on nice supsension (eibach,engalls...) so it can't compare to that...mine is so funny actinn in corners best word that comes in my mind is wablly (all dances around)...we'll see aftre suspension is done...
Anyone tried fitted CRX Si seats in it...I'll do that conv soon cause I have one set of CRX seats in garage in very mint condition like new...thought that it was straight swap but it's not even close to it :0(

I was thinking about doing new wholes in chassis and mount those CRX seats with original CRX brackets, cause civics bracets have more space between them...will try to figure which one would be easier to do

to be honest, what i did was i swapped out the one rail on the sedan seat, (the one closest to the shifter) that helped line up 2 holes, then make brackets for the other 2 :)
