I realize these answers will more than likely contain one thing. Mine is the look inside and out of the car, the handling and the great gas mileage (were finally below $2.20)

Theirs lots of things i like about my Ga, should I list them all?...
I do lik the cockpit array of the dash cluster, and those seat are comforable. But mostly the way it drives! The way it purrs on cold mornings.
I drive several different cars/trucks a week, and I must say, my GA handle/steers/goes and stops better than 90% of the cars/trucks on the road today.

Maybe My Ga's just spoiled me.. Dont get my wrong, the TA or Corvett's are top notch automobiles, but who has one of those gas guzzlers here in GA forums? I hav an 89 Firechicken , but it dont driv lik my N-body.

nothing! since its been a headache as of late. I have 4000.00 left to pay it off and it already has piston slap. Recently the ac compressor might be bad cause its screaching like its in HELL.

:disappoin

it does get me back and forth but I am off to the shop right now

the only thing stock is the engine and the color. I have rims, body kit, exhaust and a custom interior.

I think of all that i enjoy the fact that its a 5-speed the most

well I just got back from the shop ITS A MIRACLE!!! they changed the tensioner to fix the screaching and for some odd reason the pistom slap so it seemed went away! Hallelujah! For almost a year it has been knocking.

The way the quad 4 roars when the rpm's hit 4000+. Sounds pretty intimidating for a 4 cylinder I think. Biggest dislike though, was the lack of care from whoever owned the poor car before me.

What I like....

I like the power to weight ratio, V6 in a car that small is basically just an engine with a seat on it.

I like the look of the car, especially the front end.

I like the way it handles...it's like a large go cart.

Seats are very comfortable.

but the thing I like best...it is a GM product, it is American made.

Car is 12 years old, and still looks (almost) new. It had a good 1-owner history, no rust anywhere, it gets good mileage, and is the nicest car I've ever bought for myself.
Stock taillights were replaced with the "clean" GT ones, and the factory rims/hubcaps for correct size white anodized alloys from a Lebaron GTC.
(Car is factory bright white)
Everything works and I'm proud to drive it every day.

Hey Northcat , not all GMs or GA for that matter are "american made". Mine was made in Canada, but sold in the US. I know alot of people who hav canadian GMs. I guess its still 'North America' not some third world country, but if they file chaper 13 or 12 they just might start making them(GMs) in Malaysia, or Tibet, etc. etc. Lol

I have to say I like the looks of the G/a and the power behind certain models. Although i do like the looks, i always like to change it up a bit and make it my own unique car.

I count "American Made" as an American Company. I know many parts were made other places, Canada, Japan, etc. BUT the company itself is still an American company...unlike...lets say...CRYSLER...which is now a German car company.

We almost bought a Dodge Intrepid instead of the Grand Am...wife wanted the Intrepid...did some research and turned out the Intrepid had a small oil pickup tube and caused the top of the motor to run out of oil on certain engines. Even though the engine itself was Mitsubishi, it was in a car with Dodge name on it...therefore making it a Dodge product.

I don't care if the only part of the car made in America is the seat belt button, if they put GM on it, then it's a GM/American product to me.

It does suck about the layoffs. I live near Dayton, Ohio and have several friends who lost their job with Delphi laid off, but I can't find it in my heart to feel too sorry for them. I mean, when you are making $30+ dollars per hour and you go on strike for a cost of living increase...as a math teacher in a public school system, I have a difficult time mustering up sympathy for any of them, especially since the cost of any new truck or SUV is about equal to what I make in a year.

i gotta say i love the rear end design of my 94 gt. always fascinated me. and it has the ability to kick me back in my seat when needed. thing i hate most though...16x55x205...some damn expensive tires. still feeling the pain after buying 4 new tires.

Yup buying tires for a gt is expensive, cost me around $400 the last time for 4.... But what I love is the capability of eating the ricers around here with what appears to be a stock gt quad 4 with a 5 speed.

You didn't seriously say $400 was expensive for tires did you?

Holy cow...that's cheap.

I have 1 car and 3 trucks...truck tires are around $140 each.
