MIL Light...

Hey,

'88 XJ Cherokee Laredo 4.0L Auto 4WD.

My MIL Light won't come on when I turn the Key to ON position. How can I change the bulb easily? Can I just reach back and change it or do I need to pull the Gauge Cluster out?

What bulb size is it?

A MIL Light used to be called Check Engine Light etc.

Can someone please ans how I can change this light bulb; do I have to remove the gauge cluster or can I access it from reaching behind and up there?

If it is the bulb that has gone out you will have to remove the lower dash panel and the instrument cluster bezel and then there is just a couple of screws that hold that section with the light on it in place just remove them and the panel comes out to remove the light. As for what size bulb it is i'm not sure about that but once you have it out you can go to the local parts store and find a replacement easily.
