ABS brake light

Last year I was having problems with my ABS light and after following instructions from here found out that the indicator was pointing to a bad rear sensor. I ordered a new one and replaced it but still got the same code and the light stayed on. I just figured I would live with no ABS but this winter I noticed that if the temp is under about 30 degrees the ABS light is off and the ABS brakes work properly. Around 30 degrees the light may come on and off occasionally but if it is under 20 degrees the light stays off and the brakes work properly. Any ideas on why this may be happening. Thanks for any insight into this.

I changed out the rear sensor in the last month as well, and have had all the recalls/TSBs done on the ABS, too. And still that light taunts me . . . I live in Phoenix, so I have no idea about a low temp change, but am now ready to physically disable the light. Do I have to remove the gauge cluster to do this?

Follow the wires from the sensor ,from the sensor up over the axle.It helps to remove the left rear tire.At the front of the left rear wheel well along the gas tank is where the wires are usually open(broken).There is a service bullentin with a wire harness repair kit,but you could just repair the open wires.
