Electrical Problem?

Alright i think i'm having an electrical problem with my eclipse, here's the story: I've had some electrical issues since i first got it. First off the speedometer doesn't work, nor do the gauge lights. Every once in a while when it was really cold here (like 0-10 degrees) it would start fine but rev up and down kinda wierd and sometimes die. Then sometimes it would stumble really bad and backfire, kind of felt like it was running on two cylinders. But it would usually only last a few seconds then go away. Now ever since monday it is doing the stumbling and backfiring all the time, except for about thirty second when i start it, it will be ok then the rpm's drop and if i press the gas it stumbles and backfires. I just got dsmlink and am waiting to install it cause if there is a problem with wiring i don't want to mess up the other ecu i have.
thanks,
EZ

check your plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, vac leaks, egr valve, make sure the MAS is connected, also make sure your wires are connected right. the coil side is 4123 and the engine goes 4321 (with #1 being closest to the timing belt)...as for the speedo not working, is the connecter on your transmission connted? it's near the rear mount.

It's weird it's not like an air sensor problem, or boost leak, I've done a boost leak test, check the resistence on the coils, and injectors, pulled the ecu "checked" that (pulled the cover off everything looks ok), plugs/wires are new, mas is new too, filter is good. It doesn't seem to be a mechanical problem because for a while it was intermittent (sp) and when i first start the car it runs for a little, before it would do the same thing but only when it was cold out. I'm putting dsmlink in tonight (the other ecu was ok so i should be fine) I'll see if that helps me figure it out. Thanks for the help.

Alright I somewhat solved my problems... Does anyone know what sensor would only be on for ~ 2 minutes 30 seconds after i start the car? My car misses and stutters for ~ 2 minutes and then it runs fine. Any ideas? I think this is during closed loop which would mean that it's not actually a sensor... Man I'm so damn frustrated I want to try my car with dsmlink!!!
