Anyone have an annoying co-worker?

One of the guys that works in my office yells when he talks on the phone. I don't know if has a hearing problem and doesn't realize he's doing it or he just wants to make sure that the rest of us can't hear a f**king thing when we are on our phone.

He takes a shitload of prescription med's. I would say he's probably one of those hypochondriacs. He is only around 35 and takes so much medicine its just unreal, everything from blood pressure meds, to pain relief and sleeping aids.

There's a lot of other shit that drives us crazy about the way he acts at work but I don't want bag on the guy to much, I mean he is an alright guy he just needs to settle down a lot.

Fortunately, this guy doesn't work here anymore, but he was this guy who at first glance, looked like Garth Brooks, but upon actually looking at him, he looks more like Garth Brooks with a broken jaw and down syndrome...

Anyways, like shortbus's annoying co-worker, nice guy... BUT... He would never STFU about the DVD's he owned. Guess he was really into music, but shit I hate, like Slayer and Megadeath. He's also one of those people that, during a "conversation" would just talk right over you when you tried to say something.

Our conversations typically went like this:

him: "hey man, do ever listen to <insert shitty band here>?"
me: "no, I'm not really a..."
him: "yeah man, they're pretty cool, I've got one of their DVD's, I'll have to bring it in, so you can check it out!"
me: "nah, that's alrig..."
him: "so, you like that song <insert shitty song by previously mentioned shitty band>?"
me: "don't think I've ever heard..."
him: "It's a killer song, you gotta listen to the lyrics."

etc. etc. etc.

Anyways, he would bring in DVD's for me to borrow, and was always harrassing me about borrowing some of my CD's or DVD's or something, so finally, I let him borrow a couple, and the next day, he got laid off. So, I ended up having to give him my phone number, and now he calls me all the time...

For the last 2 months, I was riding the bus to and from work inorder to save money and not have to drive in the snow. He rode the bus too, but he lived way up north, and took a different bus. One day, after work, I was waiting at the bus stop, and I see him across the street, like he's about to cross over to my side. Shit.

So, he comes over, and I'm like "hey". He goes "yeah man, I saw you standing over here and figured I'd just go downtown and hang out with you...". Shit.

So, ended up waiting for the bus for a half hour while he blabbered on about Sepultura or something, then the whole bus-ride downtown... Finally managed to ditch him after getting off the bus.

Man I work with this dumbass waitress. I work the line and where I'm standing I can't see/nor do I read any of the tickets that come in. My boss calls out the order and I just make the food and put it up. She is constantly asking me if this and that food goes to this table, i'm like yo i have no idea ask gabe he's the one who gets the tickets, not me. Then she try's and tells us (me and the other cook who just happens to be the owner) how to do our jobs and that such and such's table's food should be up because they're done with their salads. She is just a stupid fucking waitress that I want to murder, any day that she is working instantly makes me have a bad day because that means I have to deal with her. I would fire her in an istant and told my boss that he should, but he's a pussy and won't fire anyone for anything unless they're stealing or don't come in. So glad I'm going to school, goodbye 70hour work works(at least for a little while.) Peace-

Jeff: stuttters like mad. "Hey hey hey", "ya know ya know ya know" stinks like a skunk (never farts, just seeps... the smell just seeps outta his body) 2 whore daughters, and bitches about wifey all the time
Mark: possibly gay (marreid to a lady though). very feminine laugh. well intentioned, but very little common sense. writes the load "expecting to get slammed the next business day"
Duane: Thats my boy. sure bitches a lot. he and I are the only ones who know each other outside of work.
Colene: cool older lady, bitches a lot... but we all do
Al: Colenes hubby, cool as hell a real hard worker
Me: im as good as it gets baby!!!! I dunno i guess i probably bitch a lot too. I'm the youngest on the crew at 23.

I love this thread!! :) I work with this lady that has the smelliest armpits in the whole building!!:eek: She smells like she has Pepe Le Pew in a headlock!:( She's cool but she's phony-acting sometimes. I'm probably irritating as well but I don't bother me so oh well :)

My boss. His office is next to mine and he plays his office stereo LOUD!
(He also has satellite TV, in there with an attached private washroom and kitchen, so I suspect he never does much work at all.)

Anyways, he listens to awful C&W tunes, or old Michael Jackson...........and its always the same 30 or so tunes, over and over again......drives me nuts.
It used to be worse. Last November he listened to the same 12 Christmas tunes for a whole month!

As I suspected my annoying co-worker went home early. Said he had a doctors appointment because he developed a sore throat (sigh... i wonder why.., he screams on the damn phone).

Its irritating... He has only been in my department for 2 months and we are not even busy yet. He thinks his job is stressful now, just wait till we actually get busy.

We have this lady in my department at work...she's like 5 foot tall and can't lift a damn thing. We have to stock pallets of tile (up to 70 lbs per box), hardwood (around 60 lbs per box), mortor (50 lbs per bag), etc. She can never lift anything but during the interview explained to the managers that since she works with horses she can handle any physical work load.

What annoys me about her is that she just plain gets in the way all the time...when I'm stocking a pallet of tile I just want to be done with it so I hurry, well she'll come over and talk to me and start asking me all these questions or she's grab the other half of the box and that really pisses me off. You just can't help someone carry a box when all I have to do is turn around to stock it. Don't get me wrong or anything she's really nice and means well but just let me work...

Other than her I work with some pretty cool people though.

I'm a car salesman. I've seen people come and go that are about as weird as they come.

i don't mind much music, but when we had "Hawaiian days" the same 10 songs over and over. Since then we've learned to take over the PA sysyem :)

I hav in the past worked with some real squirrels, thats for sure ! Those jack ass' that borrow your stuff, then get fired and you never see them or your stuff again. Or you giv them ur address and one day you com home to an empty house, Damn Punks!

I have an interesting story about a coworker of mine.

She has puppets, wears ties to sears, talks nonstop, has a daughter that wants nothing to do with her. Some background info.

One day I was trying to get this girl to give me a ride home and leave early because the store was dead. My car is out of comission right now and Im not happy about it. Anyways, this lady trys to talk to me about responsibility and some other bs very rudely. I tell her this is non of her business and if she wants to talk to me about responsibility then she can go fuck herself because Im 18 and I have a fucking house, so shut the fuck up. Told her whats what lol.

Another one is she cornered my manager and the human resources manager one day while they were smoking and starting talking to them. While she was laughing she farted very loudly, and acted like nothing happened, not only once, but twice.

That is a true annoying coworker.

Had this kid that worked with me detailing cars. He would never take a shower, his ass would always hang out of his shorts, and the guy "couldn't handle authority". not only that the guy smokes, but doesn't buy smokes, he would actually take them out of the ashtrays at work and smoke those; grossest thing i ever saw. needless to say, he didn't last long. now we got a new guy that tries to hard to fit in, he'll be like "this movie was pretty good" and then I'll say "i thought it kinda sucked" then he'll follow with "yeah, you're right, it sucked". it pretty much goes like that for everything. not only that, he tells us about all this expensive stuff his dad has (lives with his parents still), and where he gets to fly to all the time. then turns around and tries to tell us how poor he is. not only that, but he does not work hard at all, he barely does any work on the cars, and sits down at every chance he gets. god damn am i glad he's leaving at the end of the month.

Umm... I bitch a lot? Other than that my boss is pretty cool and my other co workers are just quiet. Sometimes they don't really get the clue of whats annoying and whats not, but nothing big. They work hard, so that's good.

I have one co-worker that challenges my patience. I am one of those folks that likes to work with a clean desktop. Unfortunately she seems to think that a neat desk means idle hands so she creates work for me to do, dictating 20 minute long tapes of letters that are 1 small paragraph each....stuff she should be doing. I also have a set of trays on my desk for people to put typing jobs in. If my trays are empty she says "Oh! Empty trays, now we can't have that now can we?" and will return with more mindless shit to do. Nevermind the expense reports or records management stuff in the cubby holes behind me, or the stack of check carbons that need to be entered then filed.

Unfortunately I have to stick "props" in my trays to keep her at bay. So far it has worked this entire week :lol2: But honestly I don't understand why she concerns herself with my workload. It's not like I spend half the day at the water cooler. I have enough work to keep me busy for the next 5 years. It just really annoys me that she has the mentality that if your area is too neat, you're not working hard enough.

There's the person of authority who bitches about other staff behind their backs and won't hit them up directly about problems (BAD MOVE for someone in her position)

The girl who is really sweet and nice but has bad BO.

The woman who won't shut the fuck up about her family. For one second. Ever.

The girl who likes to go on power trips because she's a supervisor.

The checkout woman who is just a rude bitch and talks down to you.

Hmm. Come to think of it, the only ones that bug me are the women. The guys are all good (don't worry, there are women there that are awesome too). Also, there are more women than men there so it's statistics, not sexism :p

work is always a fun place. I work at a pizza place so atleast once a week shit just goes crazy. Most recently was last friday. I'll give some background on this. First off im a driver, usually i come in cut/grind some cheese, take out recycling, and if im closing take out some trash. Thats all aside from delivering food.

So i go into work at 5pm. Now the dinner rush usually starts around then during the winter. As i walk in i can see its already kinda busy. I start doing some random shit until a delivery comes up. Another driver walks in and dicks around. Then i see that same driver leave.....motherfucker came in and just stole my delivery while i was actually doing something. I look and see a triple (3 deliveries at once) is coming up so i think oh sweet, it works out for me. I couldnt be more wrong.

Right before it comes up the the co-owner comes over and says that i have to goto sysco(where we get our food from) and pick some stuff up RIGHT NOW because they close in 5 minutes. WTF, the place takes atleast 5-10 minutes to get to on a GOOD day, its snowing like fucking hell outside and there is no way im gettin there in 5 minutes. But i HAVE to go anyway. So im pissed i throw the door open and slam it. I get to sysco and they are just closing, sweet i can still get the shit without hassle. WRONG WRONG WRONG. They already sent all the shit i need back to the warehouse, so we walk down to the warehouse and they say its already back in its separate areas and they will have to find it all. So i stand there....for 35 god damn minutes. Finally i get all the shit i need and get back to work, at 6p-fucking-m.

So im pissed that i wasted an hour of my time doing something that isnt even my job. When i talk to the manager about this he just says,"well i didnt have enough time to do it." BULL FUCKING SHIT, he was sitting in his office upstairs having a beer 10 minutes before he made me go, i know this becaus he had a call and i had to go tell him.

Thank god i dont have to put up with his lazy ass much longer. Im glad im leaving for school in the summer.
