I thought I would post one up as well. Unfortunately it is not of my encounter with an srt10(forgetting the camcorder always sucks), but its a good vid. If this is a repost.....just watch it again and don't give me any crap. With all the vids being posted, I was beginning to wonder if the srt4 could be beaten or not. Enjoy

That Cobra is a beast! The SRT-4 is pretty badass but it just cannot hang with that Cobra...

silly rabbit I thought you knew that the almighty srt-4 couldnt be beaten....... :grinno: this is old and was explained in another thread on svtperformance, the srt put the turbo in himself and had some issues with boost...i dont know why exactly it was doing this but it would boost 20lbs in first gear and 7-8lbs in all other gears. Personally if that was my car I would have never ran it in that condition....Im suprised the motor didnt take a crap on him......besides the fact that a fast cobra ripped that poorly tuned srt-4......... whats your point.......... :dunno:

It didn't take an 11 second truck to beat a stock pos neon.....it took my 11 second truck to completely destroy him and shut his cocky mouth up for good(funny thing about most skittle owners....they all act like they have something to prove because they get no respect from the v8 racers :rolleyes: ).

Do yourself a favor and do a few basic mods to that truck of yours, and give your girlfriend her car back.

No, I don't. I just stated that I lie about my times and that I run some pathetic times(somewhere in the mid 13s). My truck is crap and I'm glad to be put in my place by a stock neon every time I line up with one.

Now all of them wear their hats backwards and drive up and down the street, pacing through neighborhoods, making sure that the BOV is heard with each shift. I haven't met a single SRT4 owner with his head on straight and I'm sure a level headed srt4 guy is as rare as an svt owner with respect for fast imports.

but its true......a couple of bad apples make the bunch look bad....and that kind of stuff doesnt stop at cars its realated to everything in the world but not going to get into that......but as far as this forum goes most of these owners on here are far from typical........

Yeah, believe it or not guys, but I don't have a mullet, or a dog in the back, or rebel flags all over the truck, or _________(insert your favorite old school country music singer) in the "tape player", or have tasmanian devil mudflaps blowing in the wind, or beat my wife when I get home from my farming job, or three "ain't skeered" stickers on the back glass, or have 7 toolboxes in the back, or sleep with my sister, etc. Hell, I don't even have any siblings, let alone 12 or 13 of them.

Unfortunately, I do live in the south and I do drive a truck. Most people's assumption are all of the above though.

Most SRT4 guys(aside from 209) do act like they have something to prove at the track against the TA/Mustang crowd. They still look at me like I'm crazy when I want to race(insert the best "its only....."quote).

Most Mustang guys I know have one thing in common....THEY HATE GM. :iceslolan

Most fbody guys I know love the opportunity to smoke mustangs and generally dislike(or hate) Mustangs.

Most Lightning guys I know hate all other brand of trucks and think they are above them in every way. Also have a hate relationship with fbodies.

I dislike most Lightning guys for above reasons, but do have some friends that own Ls and some guys are cool as hell. I really hate the guys hung up on the whole HEMI hype and commercials. These guys really need to get over it!!!! Wonder how many guys in America refer to their truck as "the hemi"?????

naaaaahhhh but really most of they aim high and want to compete with cars that are not in their class which gives them a goal................why would you want to race cars that are slower than you when you know you could beat them.........instead race cars that are faster then you to see where you need to improve......

2. I would never brag about beating a neon, and in the same sense would never bring up the fact that I lost to a neon in front of my buddies. It is, afterall, still a neon. :biggrin:

I was replying that you said it was sad that it took a 11s truck to beat a srt4, so I replied a 14.6 GTO can do it as well. I ran a 14.6@94 with a 2.36 60' bone stock. That's the only time I ran it at the track. If you want to know why my time sucked so bad, it was 90 degrees with 95% humidity. Cars were getting dew on the windows/roofs sitting in staging.

I never claimed srt4s run high 15's. My friend had a hard time launching that night, and I have an easy time launching (i'm auto afterall). I'm not hating on srt4s. I would have bought one instead my GTO if A) my best friend didn't have one, and B) I could actually fit in the damn thing (i'm 6'7", have a hard time pulling my leg up high enough to use the clutch, which is why I got an A4 GTO).

i enjoyed reading this thread... some people are seriously idiots... srt-4's are not the fastest cars in the world and, while i'm sure an srt-4 would kick my ass, it doesn't surprise me at all that it lost so badly to that cobra... look at the stock times... the cobra is a 13 flat car right off the lot, while the srt-4 is a 14 flat car... not to mention a smaller pulley goes a looong way, and it didn't look like the guy driving the neon had much clue what he was doin...

So what are you saying exactly? that the Cobra is a bad ass mofo for smoking a car with half as many cylinders?

The shear fact that the SRT-4, a 4 cyl 2.4 liter FWD 21K econosportcompact car can keep up with one of the baddest muscle cars of all time is mad respectable.
that SRT-4 should be racing Focuses, cause really thats whats in its class, not a Cobra! thats how much above its own class the sartie is.
