Hi guys,

Anybody knows how I can simulate spinning tires on a stationary model. I learned somewhere that I will have to use a clear pastic. Would any clear plastic do? and how do I set it up?

Try this link (http://195.250.236.135/forum/Public/HTML/B95/6354-1.topic.html). Unfotunately, I can't offer you anything other than the link as I don't speak the language, but I hope this is of some help to you anyway.

I can't translate all the WIP for you, SMB: but have a check and ask what's not clear (also try to ask something to robiturbo by pm http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=88393 or at the link submitted by ales, someone will translate)

I remember this from the BMOM contest a while back - super idea!!

I "right-clicked" in google and selected "translate this page into English" and saved the page.

Man...Robiturbo is in the building!!

Nice job robiturbo. As someone said at the italian forum, the aircraft modelers have been using this technique for years, and you transported it to the autos. By the way did it very well.

Ps. Capisco bene l'italiano, ma parlo/scrivo cosi cosi hehehe. Studio l'italiano fa un ano, il forum modelismo.it puó essere utile per imparare il italiano anche alcuni "tips?" (Trucchi?). Hehehe
Scusi per alcuni sbaglio.

That's sweet! Looks just like photographed spinning wheels! Super cool!

From what I can tell, he airbrushed a "fuzzy" 5-point pattern onto the disk and used it in place of the wheels?

Wow! Thanks for the tutorial. I have a few questions:

1. What kind of plastic did you use
2. How did u manipulate the clear plastic circle?

I used freetranslation.com and a rouh translation of the wheels is this "X the hoops I recovered those of the f50 revell to that I removed the races. Then from a tube of plastic I extracted the true and actual hoop to that I inserted the hoop of the f50. Then from a sheet of acetate I extracted the 4 disks that will do the races.. And here it place is been me the problem of to form them. ..x to give them the shape of the races, I took a toothpick (that has the correct diameter x to to be inserted in the disk) and I put him a tube of plasticard x do from motionless to the disk.. Dopodiche I heated it with the phon and a soft time, I pressed it on the original hoop (to its turns pierced to the center) and here the "sagoma".." Its very vague but coul help
