That´s a thousand kilometers from where I live. So I need to give it a second thought, but hell yeah, I´m very interested in going!

This is almost 1700 km from me :( And there's no direct flight from Estonia to Hungary, unfortunately. How easy would it be to get there from, let's say, Berlin?

HRModeller said something concernig that contest: it's 731Km from me: not impossible, even better if we make some trip togheter (more italians? - Zeljko/Sjelik could we meet at Gratz or somewhere?)

We need the passport for come in Ungary from Austria? I guess yes, so I need to check for validaton, I don't use from a couple years.

And.. if a group here agree to join, could you HR guys check for an accomodation over the WE? it's 22-23/4 a WE?

a lot of question I guess, so thank you guys

and Ales:could you land somewhere and someone who join could pick you up? Kluzt100 was excited :naughty: by the meet, dont'you steve? you could make some trip toghether

I'm so happy, can't wait to partecipate

I don't know for you,but I have about 500 km. It's on corner of Slovak, Austria, Hungary border.
For me Gratz isn't good option bucause is much longer way, but I don't know for Sasa. He is closer to there, I'm 300 km from him.

For acomodation, there is e-mail address of organizator. I contacted him last year too.
I don't know how much of us will go there. Last year we organized everything, and I droped day before rip and other my friends 15 minutes before trip because serious home problems.

It will be nice if we all can come there and meet each others. :-)

I ll try to find a cheap fare, but I m not sure how to get there, some surfing would maybe clear up that...

A very happy to see that there is intrest for our contest.

I think you can also consider to come by "cheap" flight light WIZZ AIR or SKY EUROPE. In december a ticket from Hungary to London was 20 EUR. But this can limit your freedom in Hungary.

digitalbanzai: How far is Hungary from Southwest Germany? There's a good chance I may be there by April.

- It is around 1000-1100 km. A few hours with a good car :)

It is also a good idea to pick each other up at some place

Well, not this year :frown:
But when my kids grow a bit older (the youngest is only 5 months old) maybe I can talk the family in to a trip south and meet the spring/summer.
I have friends in Baden bei Wien so it could turn in to a combined trip both to Hungary and Austria.
I'll sure keep my eyes open for another year's contest.

Anyone want to design one?
(Gio, how do you say "Cough! Cough!" in Italian?)

UUUps I find just now: I guess it's a international slang like some few others:
smack, prrrrrrrrrrrrrr after hot bean, slurp with the ice cream, burp and waaarrrrrrrrrrp (if little and well-mannered) after a 2 pint beer) so I understand enough:

I think we all're a little cheap (exept for modellings suff&tools, someone also withnthose:grinyes:) so we could have a way to have a TS: I can design, if someone would like to help we could do a TASK FORCE, than I can send a file to everyone want the TS: you need only to find out a Epson or other brands (Canson, Hp..) transfer paper, print flipped or right according with the paper, steal an hot iron to respective wife/mom and... yes it's easy: I use to show my client prototype of TS graphics, and cost almost nothing. If someone don't have a printer or iron or electricity for iron, well it's the good time to purchase J/K not, find a AF friend near you where I can send the graphic.

So you made me a big gift Steve: if I'm not able to pick any great model for the contest but I come with a cool TS the responsability is only your :grinyes::licka:

I agree! I make those TS all the time for my 3 daughters' birthday parties and special funny occasions as a joke present and they look OK. Just DON"T iron them directly!!

So you made me a big gift Steve: if I'm not able to pick any great model for the contest but I come with a cool TS the responsability is only your :grinyes::licka:
I gladly accept that responsibility ! You will get at least one prize in the TS category in the form of a Polish bottle ;)

J/K a part is decided we'd have the TS at the contest: so I'll design it but I glad all your IDEAS: SHOT please, we could have a great brainstorm in that thread. (or better now I come and open a thread for ideas concerning the TS and for who want to join in the TS group, so we can leave this great thread free of crap:grinyes:)

so please post IDEAS here:

Hi guys: I think this is quetly the time for take some decisions:

1- I've a check on the Hotel's list (thank Gero) and they seeme NOT expecinve, to me. You have good prices Gero in Hungary.Maybe I book a vacation, soon. So what I mean is that: would you like we have accomodation on the same place? Prices are from 26 to 40 euros if the change is right at approx 250 f for a eur.Or I calculate wrong?

2-I think it could good for enjoy and for manage transportations for people who arrive without the car.

3- a double room cost almost a single: I'm happy to divide the room with someone, at least we could drink a couple beer more..

4- Sasa: you're in, right? So we come by car and we meet at Gratz? If not I'll search for a plane, the ticket cost nothing but rent a car at Bratislava is quetly expencive (70 eur/day). I think to come with the volvo (fuel not diesel) becouse I'm selling my beatle to my sister. However not problem for the trip.

5- Geronimo (I love this name, I need the 4th son, sooon ;) I extend your invitation on an Italian board www.modellismo.net but I haven't no reply.

Well, who want to meet togheter in 1 only hotel (medium kind? I don't need luxury for sure) please post below.

ciao

Hello,

do you think it will be necessary to make reservations for accomodation up front. won´t there be enough possibilities once I´d be there. Or is this exhibition way big, so there won´t be enough room in the city?

BTW, are you taking your work with you to enter it in the contest???

I think one hotel for all would be cool. Geronimo, is there a particular hotel that you woudl recommend for poor modellers that isn't too bad? :)

If we make a quick decision, maybe we can even negotiate group rate?

I'm not sure where I will fly to. Gio, if there is a flight to Graz, can I join you and Sasa in the car?

An important thing: do you think to take the WE or leave monday morning? I prefere sunday evening but it's also true that we have a quetly long trip

I will contact the head organizer.
There is a big hotel very close (5 min by walk) from the cntest builiding. A lot of modellers book room there. It is one of the cheapest but it is not a ***** :)
I will ask the price. For sure there will be no group rate while as I know for the contest period the prices are a bit reduced, but not sure. But anyhow 4-5 people is not a group :)

I will ask what about EUR. You know Mosonmagyarovar is very close to Austria so I guess you can pay by EUR there. Also in the model market I guess.
