REally really really odd.

So, anyways, cruising around in my buddies 86, and suddenly the idle jumps right up to 1500 rpm, and stays there.
Can't figure it out.
Then after driving around some more, the idle drops right down. too the point the Tach is reading 0, and the car is still running, romp on the gas and not much happens.
Also, sometimes there is a buzzer that is going off when we start the car up. Sometimes and only sometimes, cold hot warm, doesn't matter it's done it all. No lights come on or anything, this has me worried.
Last but not least. Occasionally when the car is warm, and we shut it off for a bit then go to start it again, your foot has to be right to the floor on the Gas pedal and she still takes forever to crank over.
Can't figure it out.

Can't seem to figure it out though! I mean... The whole car has been an elctrical mess, we just don't know where to start anymore... Any ideas?
Possible sticking injector for the starting issue?

Yeah, looking for a grounding kit for him, then we are going to go and redo all the grounds in the car, and rewire the fuelpump.

TIP. Read the whole post first. Car will not start without flooring the pedal.
Got the transmission figured out.... PP decided to kick the bucket, 4 fingers not broken Clutch got eaten in that process. While doing all this all 3 bearings in the Transmission are toast. and all the Synchro's are worn right down.
On the upside of life. Car will be on the road again sooooooon. Just have to finish the rebuild.

On the warm start, sounds to me like you may have a leaky injector (or four) or may just be shutting the car down too quickly after start. I'd suspect the car is already flooded when you have to hold it to the floor. As for the electrical, I'd jump on it before you drive much more-- my '86 died of an underhood elecrical fire after the clock and radio would reset when any door was opened for a week.
Good luck!

Yes it is a leaky injector. we know this. as for the electrical. I think we have it all figured out.
That buzzer goes off when you start moving, and only seems to come on when the car is warmed up first thing in the morning or after she has sat for a while and is cold.
Haven't had the Idle issue for a long time, still can't figure it out I think one of the springs on the TB is a little sticky so going to lube up all the springs and see how that does.
No longer have to hold foot to floor, if she doesn't start after 3 cranks turn the fuel off and try again starts every time, just need 500 for 4 new injectors.
