loud pop now wont drive

Ok so I was just crusing around tonight and this stupid guy in a 4 door grand am with a aluminum wing tried to race me and I walked all over him but in 1st I reved it to only 5500rpm maybe 6k which is high for me usually I dont go past 5 well anyway I hear a loud pop and it starts running really bad and doesnt idle and studders really bad when I try to move but the funny thing is that it revs just fine in netural but tis dark now so I cant really see anything. Basically it drives like I have a major boost leak so I'm thinking I either blew off an I/C pipe or maybe a plug wire got blown off. I dont think its anythign serious because it still revs just fine and fires on all cylinders. any ideas?

Sounds like and IC pipe to me. Check it out, I dont think its anything to worry about.

Kind of pisses me off because twice now some dumb ass has tried to race me on the one ways in town and both times i smoke 'em up untill I hit second or 3rd then something breaks lol. I guess thats what I get for driving a dsm lol, but its worth it

I'd say ic pipe too. Maybe get some t-bolt clamps they work really well.

I don't know if its just me but, when i hear a unfamilar funny noise out of my car... or see smoke lol i get the living shit scared out of me..... usually the first thing that crosses my mind is, " what the fuck is broken now!" i swear... the next oil return leak i get im going to floor my car till the oil is gone.... lol ( not really)

lol I know what you mean, for me its always omg I blew my motor or omg I blew the tranny or omg wtf happened now lol, but then I calm down a little and relize that an I/C pipe just poped out lol. From what I could see in the dark I couldnt notice anything obvious like a pipe hanging out or anything but I'll get a better look at it tomorrow and see what I can come up with
