2000 Civic LX Tires

Hey all!

Looking to get new tires soon for my civic, but have a question. The stock size is 185/65/14R, but I'd like a wider tread, say 195. Is that possible on the stock wheel? Also, I don't know much about tires, so if I got a wider tread (195) how does that affect the ratio? Should I get 195/65 or can it be 195/55, etc? What is the difference really? I get the width part, and size, but don't understand the ratio.

Thanks for any info and possibly a good overall tire recommendation? Any experiences good or bad?

Thanks,
Nick
