leaking coolant

Hello, new here & I have a problem. I am a novice as far as mechanical stuff goes, but I have done some repairs, just lack experience.
I have a 1996 3000GT DOHC (non-turbo, w/AC) and I am leaking coolant. It has been leaking for quite some time, but previously, it was really minor and now it is leaking about a drop/second. I see it dripping from the support just outboard of the oil drain. I've looked from above and see no sign of leakage, nor do I feel any spray. I haven't jacked the vehicle up yet.
I am hoping somebody has run into this and can tell me some stuff to look for, hopefully it is minor like a hose, clamp or something.
Thanks for ANY help!!!
Jeff

OK, reasonable, the right location!
The car has 30,000 miles on it w/no major problems except loose parts! (Like the fuel fill line leaked gas when fueled)
Anyways, coul dit possibly be the water pump is a little loose and coolant is leaking from the gasket? if so....
..I went to the Team3S site and looked at the instructions for water pump/timing belt replacement and was wondering if I can see the water pump enough by taking off the left front tire and the covers and possibly even get a socket in there to tighten any loose bolts on the water pump?
thanks again,
Jeff

I agree its probably the water pump.
Check this ASAFP. The waterpump is connected to the timing belt. A failure of the waterpump can take out the timing belt would will probably trash your engine.

Thanks for the warning. The odd thing is, I drove it yesterday and it didn't leak at all! Very strange, maybe I should drive the car more often. It's more of a recreation auto than a commuter for me, just averaging 3000 miles/yr.
