Ok this is the problem. The car is fine at 30 m.p.h. but after that it starts to shake. The shaking gets worse the faster I go. I don't know if its a wheel balance problem cause i felt for a bump on the tire and one is not there.when I get to 50 mph or faster I feel like the tire is wobbling 1 inch off center. the lug nuts where tight. So if anyone has an idea what the case may be i would like any help on it.Also there is a faint clicking noise coming from the passanger side.I was wondering if its the c.v joint or the engine. I have to skills on cars. All i know is how to check the fluids and drive it.anything goes wrong i get nervous.
By the way where under the car is the fuel filter and how do you change it?

Fuel injected or carb?

you can jack the tires up and spin them and look for a wobble or take it in to a tire or alignment shop. most will check it for free and tell you what the problem is. on the click if it gets louder when you turn a corner its most likely a CV joint, if noise stays the same its something else

it has a carb on it and the noise is more ranom than steady but its like someone is tapping the wheel well softly with a piece of metal by the way can they lift it if the passanger floor is almost rusted away?

Your fuel filter is on the firewall under the brake master cyl.

Lift the whole front end via the bulge you see in the front crossmember.
Check those ball joints! :grinyes:

Your problem is most likely the rust. I had a Metro once that acted like that. The rust had weakened the A-arm support. You may not be able to save it unless you are good at extensive sheet-metal welding. Good luck.
