1993 heater core removal

Do you need to remove the dash to get to the heater core on the 93s or is that just a problem on later models. I have a Haynes repair manual that just says remove a few bolts and your in business. However I've tore half the darn thing apart and still can't get to the mounting studs. please help I can't stand the smell of anti-freeze.

yes you do. just enough on the passenger side so that you can access the bolts for the case.
