just yesterday my legacy began smoking while driving. pulled over, looked under the hood. the waterpump pulley, and also the belt a litle were smoking. Let it cool down(car was not overheating at all). Drove it back to my apartment(about 30 mins) the car was not overheating, and i could not smell the burning or see any smoke from under the hood.
So i'm thinking that the bearings in my waterpump pulley just went out. I've been looking around and online and havent been able to locate a water pump pulley for this car...and it doesnt seem to come with the actual water pump for the car.
So, do i just not know the name of the part?
Also anyone that's switched out the pulley know how hard it is...looked pretty straight forward to me. I'm having my nefew come look at it/fix it if we can find the parts. He's the mechanic in tha family :D
Thanks in advance

Thanks for straightening that one out. The water pump is run by the timing belt on this car.
If you get the a/c fixed on the car, I'd like to hear what it entailed and what it cost.
