Help no start! Must be ignition stuff or electrical.

This morning I tried to start it... It sounded like it almost did, then did nothing. I replaced the starter, it had a semi burned wire on the solenoid.
Any ideas? This is vastly important to be fixed soon, I depend on this old car.

Few questions first...what made you decide it was your starter that needed to be replaced? Did you check to make sure your battery is ok? Holding it's charge? How bout the ignition module? Can you let us know what tests you performed so far? Thanks, and I'm sure we'll all pitch in to help.
