If you plan on removing your cat, you will need a simulated 02 sensor. The resonator removal won't hurt anything, however. The stock cat really isn't that big of a restriction - for what it's worth, I would go with a high-flow cat versus completely removing it. Have your resonator removed, and find a muffler that sounds good (dynomax superturbo sounds great on my 3.4 w/ resonator removed, but I dunno about 2.4) - those are where the biggest gains are to be had. The stock resonator and muffler are the biggest restrictions. But like I said, if you want to deal with the cat, you could probably find a good high-flow one for $ 80 and then you won't need a simulated 02 sensor.
